Coquille Park Summer Training
with Doug Saylor and Coach Errol Gauf.
Doug is currently trains at the Coquille Parks and Recreation Center on their
new hardwood floor courts. Doug and Coach Gauff collaborate to make this program a MUST for all players serious about
improving their skills this summer. You will learn the game in and out. Doug will focus on individual skills
and concepts, while Coach Gauff will focus on team offense and defense skills and concepts.
Training starts Monday June 6 through Friday July 29.
Doug will host player and coaching clinics with Jerry Krause Master Teacher and author of 30 books,
Dallas Mavericks Director of Player Personal and former Mavs player, Brad Davis,
and Phoenix Suns coach John Treloar.
SPEAKER AND MOTIVATOR
Doug is a facilitator of the best-selling “Seven Habits for Teens” program. He
ia an award-winning speaker as a member of Toastmasters International. He communicates in a dynamic

TEAM GROUP TRAINING
The Team/Group Training Package is a four-week program that is
customized based on the needs and skills of the team or group. Sessions are held at PCoquille Parks and Recreation Center
or a facility designated by the host team or group. Six to twelve (6-12)
players can train in sessions lasting two hours once a week. This package includes
one small-group training class of two to three players per week.
CLINIC TRAINING
One to two hour clinics customized based on the needs and skills of the
team or group are available at Above The Rim or a facility designated by the host
team or group. A maximum of fifteen (15) players and the coach/group leader may choose the
topics for each clinic.
Training Topics
OFFENSIVE TECHNICAL SKILLS
Shooting, Body Control, One-on-One Moves, Speed, Agility and Quickness,
Ball-handling, and Post Play.
OFFENSIVE TACTICAL SKILLS
Cutting/Moving without the Ball, Basic 2-Man Tactics, Setting and Using
Screens, and Team Offensive Tactics.
DEFENSIVE TECHNICAL & TACTICAL SKILLS
Proper Stances, Correct Close-outs, Help Defense Basics, and Rebounding
and Outlet Passing.
Innovative Technology
HoopLife Academy uses the latest in innovative technology tools to assist
in accumulating data for evaluating and teaching skills and tecniques.
MOTION CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY
This tool captures slow motion and freeze-frames of players in action and
reveals the details of every movement and is used to show players what Doug sees.
NOAH TECHNOLOGY
The NOAH machine captures and measures the shooter’s arc/provides feed-back
and tracking of arc consistency-used to show objective improvement.
